Cvent Passkey Review
At my organization, I take calls from our convention housing line and help city-wide conference attendees make their reservations for hotels in the area. Cvent Passkey has been extremely easy to use and very helpful for the hotels. City-wide meetings are 600 attendees on peak +. This is a great way for the hotels to outsource these reservations so their properties don't get overwhelmed with calls. The only thing that could be better is making multiple reservations at once. We always have to copy the reservations multiple times for groups which is quite time-consuming.

Great tool to manage room blocks
Cvent Passkey is being used by a few departments across the organization for various events. It helps us stay coordinated and organized on our room block, making sure VIPs have rooms, we've fulfilled our contractual obligations, etc. It saves us so much time because we don't have to pull those reports manually or wait for the hotel to provide us with updates.

When starting using Cvent, we looked into Passkey. It is a very cool tool for integrating the hotel booking into the registration wizard but the only problem we had was the hotels we are dealing with do not work with Passkey. Some of them do but then we had internal issues which made it impossible to use it.

Passkey is used by our event and meeting management team to manage room block for meetings that we host. It helps ensure the correct people get into our block, and the dashboard is used to run reports on the reservation lists in real-time. It addresses the problem of getting reservation lists quickly and editing reservations on our own.

- A bit time consuming to set up, but once its set up it is great.
- Allows our team to work on other things because Passkey keeps everything updated.
- No compliance issues trying to collect credit card information.
I did not make the purchasing decision to incorporate Passkey into our business standards. I know that while demanding upon set up, it saves a significant amount of time when the main planning portion of the event is in swing. I personally have not used any other products like Cvent Passkey. With the new flex website design, it will not make sense to continue to use passkey when we can incorporate hotel selection into the registration process directly during registration.

Passkey is an essential connector to the Cvent attendee management platform that helps automate and streamline our hotel room block management process and connects directly to the hotel database for real-time reservation management. It streamlines errors, allows for real-time analytics, personalized room block web pages and puts the control in the hands of the attendee. No middle person and no wasted resource time.
